BritBox, the BBC and ITV combination, will launch in South Africa before the end of 2021.
The streaming service joins an array of international players, such as Prime Video and Apple TV +, which recently landed in South Africa.
Through this platform, however, South Africans will be able to watch their favorite British content ad-free.
South Africa is the fifth country to launch BritBox, after Canada, Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
It’s no secret that we love the British sense of humor and the official South African portal of the official BritBox website says we might be up for some comedic goodies.
Black Adder, Faulty Towers and The Office UK are part of the slideshow of the programs on display.
BritBox will bring South Africans an unrivaled collection of British TV shows, from beloved classics to the biggest live shows from the BBC and ITV. Binge on full seasons of your favorites or discover something new to watch from thousands of hours of brilliant British dramas and comedies, Documentaries, lifestyle shows and more. We are still in the process of pre-launching content, so please consider the images above as a good indication (but not a guarantee) of some of the great UK programs you can expect from BritBox in South Africa, ”the site says.
Price and availability
While there is no official price yet, the monthly subscription is £ 5.99 in the UK, which equates to R124.73 (at time of writing).
