To help promote immunization and create a sense of community around those who get hit, WhatsApp has partnered with WHO and launched a new Vaccines For All sticker pack.
The move comes as governments around the world try to encourage as many people as possible to take one of the various COVID-19 vaccines available to help fight the pandemic. WhatsApp says it wants to give users a “fun and creative way to connect and privately express the joy, relief and hope” of the hits.
This is far from the first sticker pack launched by WhatsApp, nor is it the first time the company has partnered with the World Health Authority. Last year saw the launch of the Together At Home pack, designed to encourage people to stay in their homes while lockouts are being implemented.
The latest sticker pack is in a similar vein, featuring pastel hued cartoon images that will hopefully spread the vaccination message in a fun and accessible way for people of all ages. In addition to encouraging people to get vaccinated, WhatsApp says the sticker also allows people to show appreciation for the health work that has done so much during the pandemic.
Jab jab jab
For WhatsApp users, the arrival of the Vaccines For All sticker pack is a very visible sign of the company’s work to fight the coronavirus pandemic. But there are other things going on behind the scenes as well. In a blog post on COVID-19, WhatsApp says:
If you are looking for the key pack, you will find it in all versions of the app.
