Woman candidate assaulted in Lakhimpur Kheri, one accused arrested

Lakhimpur Kheer. A woman candidate was abused and assaulted in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. Actually, a woman had gone to file nomination for the block president election. During this, female candidate Ritu Singh has been assaulted and misbehaved.

Ritu Singh alleges that she had gone to file her nomination, but Rekha Verma’s goons tore my nomination paper. They ran away with my purse and tore my clothes too. He said that during this time the police was also on the spot and did nothing. At present, after the complaint of Ritu Singh, the police action has started in the matter. Lakhimpur Kheri Police has given information about this by tweeting.

Police said that during the nomination of Kshetra Panchayat President in Pasgwan block on Friday, the woman candidate was misbehaved. Now in this regard, the C.I.S.A. at Pasgwan police station. Section 147,171(F), 354, 392, 427 Bhadvi has been registered under 213/21. Also, Lakhimpur Kheri Police has said that the accused named in this case, Yash Verma son Brahmadin Verma has been arrested. Now further legal action is being taken. Police said that the accused Yash Verma is a resident of Maqsoodpur village located in Pasgwan police station area. 

Police say that apart from this, 4 police teams have been formed under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police for the arrest of the remaining accused. Simultaneously, raids are also being conducted. Earlier, in the case of misbehavior with a woman proposer in Lakhimpur Kheri, the state government has taken a big action.

Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Dr. Dinesh Sharma said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given instructions to suspend three SIs, including CO, SO and an inspector, for the violence in the panchayat elections. Apart from this, he has directed to take action against the accused under the Gangster Act and Rasuka.
