SP spokesperson accused of kidnapping businessman and threatening to kill him

Lucknow. Samajwadi Party (SP) spokesperson IP Singh has been charged with kidnapping, beating and threatening to kill a city businessman. This was informed by a police officer. The complainant Awadhesh Singh, a resident of Golf City, has claimed in his FIR that he had taken Rs 34 lakh from accused IP Singh, for which he used to come back occasionally and take monthly benefits.
However, due to Kovid-19, my business failed and could not give back the profit to him due to some personal problems, he said in the FIR. I requested him to give the money back after October. Last week, IP Singh called me, but I could not pick up the phone and later called him back saying that I would come to his residence next week. However, there was a delay of one day in informing the accused about my return to Lucknow.
After this, he alleged that around 10 am on Sunday, IP Singh along with his brother Manoj Singh and other associates entered my house, kidnapped me and locked me in a room of his house in Vibhuti Khand. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP), East, Qasim Abidi said of attempt to murder, wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation, rioting IP Singh, his brother Manoj Singh, an aide Uday Yadav and Others have been accused. Meanwhile, IP Singh said that all the allegations leveled against him are completely baseless. This allegation has been made to harm him politically.
