New Delhi . Billionaire Richard Branson, founder and founder of Virgin Group, has returned safely from space travel with five people. He went to the edge of space via Virgin Galactic’s Unity rocket plane. The plane took off from New Mexico at 8:16 pm Indian time. The Virgin Group said on its official Internet media account that the flight was earlier to take place at 6:30 pm, but due to bad weather, the launch time was extended by one and a half hours. Tesla CEO Elon Musk also reached to see his journey.
India’s Shirisha Bandla also went to space with Brenson. Born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and raised in Houston, Texas, Shirisha traveled with Brenson and five other members from New Mexico to the ends of space. According to Bandla’s profile on Virgin Galactic, his passenger number was 004 and during the flight he studied the effect on the astronauts. Before him, Sunita Williams and Kalpana Chawla have also gone to space. This spacecraft has set a new record. Its success has given wings to Brenson’s commercial dream of traveling to space.
A Virgin Galactic rocket plane crashed in 2014. Crew and Passengers Virgin Galactic’s spacecraft flew with six passengers, including two crew and four passengers. Bezos’s Blue Origin capsule can carry six passengers. It can take off without any assistance. The SpaceX Dragon capsule can carry seven people.
Bezos, Brenson and Musk are investing billions of dollars in their space startups. Each has promised to take the customers to space. To be a part of this journey, a huge amount has to be spent. Brenson’s Virgin Galactic has already booked more than 600 tickets, which cost around USD 250,000 (over Rs.1 crore 86 lakh).
The company expects to start a full commercial service in 2022. If this happens, in the future the price of the ticket can be reduced to about $ 40,000 (Dollar). An as yet unidentified person has secured a seat in Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin’s first suborbital mission. Which has been set on July 20 with an auction bid of $ 28 million (about two and a half billion rupees more).
SpaceX has taken to the ISS The SpaceX rocket of Tesla company owner Elon Musk has already taken a crew to the International Space Station (ISS). His plan is to send a civilian crew to space in September. Musk has also said that SpaceX will fly Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa around the Moon in 2023 with the upcoming Starship rocket.
