Aligarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone of the university in Aligarh in the name of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh and has also tried to cultivate the politics of Jatland on the electoral front. Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh, who became an anonymous face of the freedom struggle in the politics of Jatland in western Uttar Pradesh, is now in discussion. In his aura, the BJP is strengthening its ground in the battle for the politics of heritage. It also includes respected names of Jat politics, Sir Chhoturam and Chaudhary Charan Singh. This is being seen as an attempt to pacify the Jat community, which is being considered angry due to the farmers’ movement. Python and Mazgar equations created and spoiled many governments. Although there are six to eight percent Jat community in the whole of Uttar Pradesh, but in western Uttar Pradesh it is 17 percent. Jats are spread in 120 seats of the assembly, but they create and spoil the electoral equation of about 50 seats. There are currently 14 Jat MLAs in the assembly. Most of them belong to the BJP and the RLD, which does politics of Jat heritage, has only one MLA. Actually, BJP’s strategy is focused on winning the 2022 assembly elections and strengthening the ground for 2024. After the Muzaffarnagar riots of 2013, the politics of Jatlant changed and the Muslim Jat equation was also broken. BJP got the benefit of this.
Now the concerns of the BJP have increased due to the formation of new equations in the farmers’ movement. Efforts are being made to elevate the Jat community along with their heroes so that Jat support does not slip away. Although the program of Aligarh was official, but the effect remained political. The message was also from west to east. While Raja Mahendra Singh and Sir Chhotu Ram carry forward the politics of Jat politics, Maharaja Suheldev has been the inspirational hero of the strong Rajbhar community in the eastern region. In the beginning of his speech, Modi has made it clear by making a special mention of these three that what are the goals and goals of BJP in politics. In the new thing that will go down in Jatland from Modi’s speech, the mention of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh will be important. In a way, there will be politics of votes in the name of Raja Mahendra Singh too. The Jat community of West Uttar Pradesh takes pride in standing with former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, but now it will be another matter of pride for him, Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh, who fought for freedom from the borders of the country. After going across and connecting the people to the Indian community, he formed the country’s first government-in-exile in Afghanistan. Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh was its President. Not only this, Modi has also raised it with a sense of national unity by connecting Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh with Shyamji Krishna Varma and Lala Hardayal of Gujarat.
