The producers of Dhakad, starring Kangana Ranaut, have postponed the release of the film till May 2022. According to sources, Dhaka has now postponed her upcoming film, which was slated for release on April 8, 2022, to May 20.
A source close to the development revealed that the makers of Dhakat are withdrawing from several releases in April. Although Dhaka did not clash with any major film, Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 and Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chadha are slated for release next week.
In an earlier statement, Kangana Ranaut had said, “Dhakad will not only be a benchmark film in my career, but also a turning point in Indian cinema.
Realizing that this was a good decision for the film, the producers decided to take Dhaka forward for a further box office run. If the sources are to be believed, they are considering whether to release the film on May 20th.
Ranaut had earlier shared footage from the Dhakad shooting, in which he plays a fire agent. Kangana Ranaut described Dhakad as a women-led action film. She also said that women would not have to look back at Indian cinema if it was well received.
Actor Arjun Rampal will play the villain in Rudraveer. He had earlier said of his role, in a statement, “I’m really looking forward to starting shooting for Dhakad. I’m playing a character I have never tried before. Will definitely help me.
The film, directed by Rasneesh Ghai, was originally slated to release in October 2021 but was delayed due to an epidemic. The first schedule of the film was shot in Madhya Pradesh and they completed the schedule in February 2021. The team filmed the second schedule in June 2021 in Budapest.
A few days ago, Kanaga announced his other film, Tejas, which will be released in theaters across the country on October 5, 2022.
Ranawaka will also star in Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda and the political drama Emergency.
