Pushpa: The Rice smashes box office. 100 crore in two days. However, the movie starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandana became controversial soon after its release. In response to the controversy, the producers have now decided to crop some scenes in the film.
The film, which has a run time of three hours, is said to have been overdone. In addition, critics and audiences alike said that a particular scene in the film was inappropriate for a family drama.
In the scene, Pushpa Raj (played by Allu Arjun) and Sreevalli (played by Rashmika Mandana) are seen sitting in the car talking and falling in love. During the conversation, Pushpa touched Srivalli’s chest and the two talked about it.
As mentioned, the scene was said to be unsuitable for a family drama, so the producers decided to remove this scene from the film. According to India Today, the scene and others will be deleted. The edited version of Pushpa: The Rice will be released on Monday, December 20th.
Except for the scene mentioned, it is not clear whether other scenes will be removed to reduce the runtime.
The film, directed by Sukumar, will hit theaters on December 17. The film tells the story of red sandalwood smugglers in the Seshachalam forest in Andhra Pradesh. Apart from Arjun and Reshmika, Fahadh Faasil will also be seen in the lead role. The big budget film is produced by Maithri Movie Makers.
Pushpa: The Rise is a two-part action drama. The second installment of Pushpa: The Rule will hit theaters in 2022.
