Throughout RRR’s more than 200-day shooting schedule, junior NTR felt the weight of filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s ambition, which prompted him to give his best for the much-anticipated action drama.

A Telugu film set in pre – independence India, it depicts the lives of two freedom fighters – Alluri Sitarama Raju, played by Ram Charan, and Komaram Bheem, written by Jr. NTR.

RRR, Rajamouli’s follow-up to the game-changing blockbuster Bahubali, has sparked fan interest since its announcement in 2018.

In an interview with PTI, NT Rama Rao Jr., popularly known as Junior NTR among fans, said that he shot the film with a sense of “responsibility” to give everything to him.

“I’m constantly, every day feeling burdened. How can you survive without that pressure? You need to be reminded that you are part of the perspective of someone who trusted and invested in you. Forget about money. It’s another thing, but he trusts you in his material, so you have to do it justice. There was responsibility, “said Jr. NTR.

The 38-year-old actor credited Rajamouli’s unwavering faith, which helped the team work towards the film the director envisioned.

For example, Rajamouli will continue to work to improve the project, even when employees are at rest. The filmmaker would call Jr. NTR and discuss the subtleties of a scene with him so the actor never felt in touch with his character.

“You need to have the right people around you and a great director like Rajamouli to remind you why you’re here. The journey to RRR requires such an emotional and physical investment. We got it when we were at home and without shooting.

“He would call me and discuss the scenes and tell me that my character’s expressions needed to be further exploited in some places. So I had to gather all my thoughts and go back to the scene to recall that moment. I was completely immersed, immersed. In the movie,” he added.

RRR’s scale is larger than the actor’s previous three collaborations with the 48 – year – old director.

They first appeared together in the 2001 action film Student No. 1, the 2003 Simhadri and the 2007 fantasy action comedy Yamadonga.

Junior NTR said that Rajamouli is one of the few directors in the country who can really challenge an actor. Along with the revolutionary Komaram Bheem, Rajamouli added more layers and introduced a new character.

The RRR is trying to fill the historic gap left by two freedom fighters from the same period who left home without a record of what they did four years before they returned and started fighting for the people.

“Once you’ve become a Rajamouli character, you’ll have to pay 100 per cent. You do not want to be 50 per cent or 80 per cent satisfied.

“You have to listen to him. It’s a challenge to work with him, but I’m always loved it. The beauty is that he’s constantly challenged himself as a filmmaker. He’s earned that honor. The director, ”he added.

The film is also credited with making a casting coup on a project with junior NTR and Charan.

The actor said that he is aware that the genre of multi-starrer films has faded away but he expects the RRR trend to ignite as more Pan India films are being made today.

RRR also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.

“Somewhere, our industries have stopped making multi-starrer films. With RRR, 30 years later, a multi-starrer film is coming out in Telugu. I think ‘Karan Arjun’ is the last Hindi film in which two great stars are equal. Stars with talent and followers. Why stopped it, I have no answer, but it will start again.

“There’s going to be a lot of cultural exchange going on with crossover and multi-starrer films now. It’s good to call myself a big Indian film industry. I’m proud to be a part of this era as an actor. I think so, “he added.

RRR will hit theaters on January 7th. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
