It’s loud and clear now that Dwayne Johnson will not be returning for the 10th installment of the Fast & Furious franchise. In a recent interview with CNN, the actor publicly turned down Vin Diesel’s request to join the upcoming action drama.

Earlier, in November, Vin Diesel took to social media to publicly invite Dwayne Johnson to rejoin the fast and furious franchise. “My little brother Dwayne … the time has come. The world is waiting for the end of Fast 10. As you know, my children call you Uncle Dwayne at my house. They and you have no vacation to pass. I told you, I swear I’m going to keep my word to Pablo, that we’re going to make it to the last and last fast, and that’s what I’m going to say. No. I hope you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny, “he captioned to a photo with his co-star.

Here is the post: Johnson, who plays Lucas Hobbes, a secret agent, told the publication that he had already privately refused to rejoin the franchise with Diesel. I do not know [Diesel] Directly I will not return to the franchise. I was firm but friendly with my words, I always said I would support the actors and always root for the franchise to succeed, but Johnson said I had no chance of coming back.

The actor was then criticized for publicly tampering with diesel. “His recent public post is an example of his manipulation. I did not like the way he raised his children in the post and the death of Paul Walker. Get rid of them. We talked about this months ago. Clear understanding.”

However, Johnson congratulated the Fast and Furious team. “My goal was to end my amazing journey through this incredible franchise with gratitude and grace,” Johnson said. “It’s unfortunate that this public conversation has messed up the waters. Anyway, I have faith in the ‘fast’ universe and its ability to consistently deliver to the audience … I wish my former co-stars and crew success in the next chapter,” he said.

For the uninitiated, Dwayne Johnson joined the Fast & Furious family in 2011 with Fast Five. He left the franchise in 2017 after The Fate of the Furious.

Currently, Fast and Furious 10 hits theaters on April 7, 2023. Where Johnson goes missing, Diesel will return to the film with Tyris Gibson, Sung Kang, Chris Bridges, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez.
