Country singer Morgan Wallen tops the Billboard R&B / Hip-Hop chart. Valentine’s collaboration with rapper Lil Dirk topped the Broadway Girls Billboard charts this week. After a year of setbacks from the controversy, he now wants to work with Kendrick Lamar.

“I like the moneybag … he’s definitely at the top of the list,” Wallen said. “But as a whole … I’m not just trying to think for the last few years … Kendrick Lamar is going to be a lot of fun,” Wallen said during an hour – long conversation on the Club House chat show hosted by the famous black comedian Druzeki.

Similar to Valentine’s controversy in February, Lamar had previously reprimanded a white fan who was brought on stage for singing N-Word.

In a viral video from February 2021, Wallen was caught on camera using racial slurs, and the consequences of the incident included being removed from the airway and having his contract with the label suspended.

This led to a significant increase in his album sales and highlighted the current problem of racial inequality in country music. Wallen soon saw a 1,220 percent increase in digital album sales and a 327 percent increase in song sales.

Although he was never asked about the event that made him the most controversial musician of 2021. Instead, the focus was on Lilderk collaborations and other areas of the past or projected country / hip-hop crossover. More mundane things like dating and the best fish he has ever caught.

Many hip-hop cultures have further expressed Walton’s unexpected acceptance of his musical success. This is an indication of the dominance of popular black culture. The artist, who has been virtually banned from the airway for months after using N-Word, is now number one, and according to Variety, it is unlikely to last a year.

However, considering how unusual it is for Wallen to end the year at the top of a black music chart, cultural observers may believe that the most unexpected results are quickly discarded.
