Mumbai: A BMC official said on Wednesday that an employee of a bungalow belonging to megastar Amitabh Bachchan had tested Kovid-19 positive.
In a blog post on Tuesday, Amitabh Bachchan said that he was dealing with some “domestic Kovid situations” and would contact the fans later. A BMC official said one of the 31 employees at the veteran star’s two bungalows, Pratheeksha and Jalsa, tested positive for a routine COVID – 19 test.
Amitabh Bachchan’s team conducted regular Kovid-19 inspections of employees, officials added. “Employees are quarantined at BMC’s CCC-2 (COVID Care Center-2),” he said. He added that the positive staff were asymptomatic.
Another senior official said they had complied with the guidelines, including the COVID-19 protocol, which includes contact tracing, testing and home quarantine.
Amitabh Bachchan, who regularly updates his fans about his personal and professional life through his blog, wrote a mysterious one-line text on the platform on Tuesday.
“Deals with some domestic COVID situations. Will connect later,” wrote the 79-year-old actor, who was fully vaccinated in May 2021.

In 2020, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, actor and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and his granddaughter Aradhya Bachchan tested positive for the corona virus.
