Telugu actor Mahesh Babu on Sunday mourned the demise of his elder brother Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu and thanked the veteran actor and producer who was the source of his courage.

The 56-year-old producer, son of superstar Krishna, passed away in Hyderabad on Saturday night due to health issues, family sources said. He was 56 years old.

He was admitted to a private hospital on Saturday night after his health deteriorated. Hospital sources said the veteran was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mahesh Babu shared a post on Twitter mourning the loss of his beloved ‘Annaya’ (brother).

“You are my inspiration, you are my strength, you are my courage, you were all mine, without you I would not be half of the man I am today. Thank you for everything you have done.

Apart from his brother, many business friends and colleagues took to Twitter to offer their condolences on the sudden demise of Ramesh Babu.

Actor Chiranjeevi tweeted, “We are deeply saddened and deeply saddened by the demise of Shri G Ramesh Babu. My heartfelt condolences to Shri Krishna Garu and @urstruly Mahesh.

Music director S. Taman wrote, “I am deeply saddened and saddened by the demise of Shri Ramesh Babu Garu. @UrstrulyMahesh gaaru My sincere condolences to all the family.

Producer BA Raju wrote, “#KrishnaGari’s eldest son, #Maheshbabu’s elder brother #RameshbabuGaru has passed away. May his soul rest in peace. Deepest condolences to the family @urstrulyMahesh.”

Actor Venkatesh Daggubatti wrote, “I am deeply saddened and saddened by the demise of Ramesh Babu Garu. My sincere condolences to Mahesh and all his family. Peace be upon his soul.”

Ramesh Babu started his career as a child actor in his father Krishna’s films and later in 1997 acted in films like Samrat, Bazar Rowdy, Anna Chellu and Encounter.
