“I want the actor to do an incredibly good job of convincing me that he’s not in it. And then I want to lose my mind in the theater when my instincts prove to be right. That’s what I want.” Calling his months-long escape “thrilling,” Garfield said he would eventually appreciate all the pressure to keep the secret. “I was happy to do it, but it was a lot of work on everyone’s part,” he said. “It obviously gave people a lot of excitement in the theater. What more could you want from a theater experience than a thrill?” The actor revealed that he visited the theater in disguise to experience the excitement of the fans first hand.
“On the opening night I went into a theater and just saw myself wearing my baseball cap and face mask. No Way Home, starring Tom Holland and Sendaya, grossed $ 1.53 billion worldwide.
