Hollywood star Sharon Stone has been cast in a recurring role in the second season of the hit HBO Max series The Flight Attendant.

The upcoming chapter of the show will explore the relationship between Kazi and her mother Lisa Bowden, who was introduced by series lead Kali Cuco.

Stone will play Lisa, Casey’s separated mother, who loves to be separated. After dealing with Casey’s alcoholism for the rest of her life, she no longer has the patience or the good will.

According to the deadline, Casey’s mother rarely appears in a flashback scene from season one; The character is currently shaping up to be a season two storyteller.

Season One of The Flight Attendant, which premiered on November 26, 2020, explores Casey’s abusive relationship with her late father, Hank (Jason Jones).

In his second season in Los Angeles, Casey can be seen showing his best restraint while moonlighting CIA assets in his spare time. But when a foreign assignment inadvertently witnesses her murder, she is caught up in another international conspiracy.

Other series regulars who return in addition to Cuco are Sosia Mammet, Griffin Mathews, Denise Acdenis and Rosie Perez, who co-produce the series with showrunner Steve Yoki.

The new series regulars include Mo McCray, Cali Hernandez and JJ Soria, as well as TR Knight’s brother, Lisa’s son Yasha Jackson and Audrey Grace Marshall. The new recurring additions are Alanna Ubach, Cheryl Hines, Jesse Ennis, May Martin, Margaret Cho, Santiago Cabrera and Shohre Agdashloo.

Stone’s previous television credits include the Netflix Ltd series Ratchard and HBO’s Mosaic.
