Singer Lata Mangeshkar recently tested Kovid-19 positive and is undergoing treatment in Mumbai. News18 reported that Rachana Shah, the niece of the senior singer, has confirmed that the singer is recovering and is in a ‘stable’ state.

The 92-year-old singer, popularly known as the Nightingale of India, has been admitted to the ICU of Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai for treatment. Talking about her current health condition, Rachana called her a “fighter” and said, “Didi is very consistent and alert. God is really kind. She is a fighter and a winner. That is how we have known her for many years. I want to thank all the fans across the country who have kept her in prayer.” When everyone prays, we can see that nothing goes wrong. “

They praised the doctors and said they were “doing an amazing job”.

Earlier, Dr Pratik Samdani of Breach Candy Hospital had given a statement. The best doctors are calling and taking care of them, “she added.

She had previously told PTI that the singer had tested positive for the virus and reported mild symptoms. However, due to her age, it is advisable to admit her to the ICU. “She is mildly COVID-19 positive. Given her age, the doctors advised us to stay in the ICU because she needs constant care. We can not take a chance. As a family, we want the best, we want to make sure she has 24X7 care. She will be fine, but she’s old. Because it will take her some time, and COVID-19 will take seven days, “she said.

The legendary singer has many accolades for her name. She has received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, France’s highest civilian honor, the Officer of the Legion of Honor, and several other national and international awards. In 1974, she was inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records as the Most Recorded Artist in History. Regarded as one of the best playback singers in Indian cinema, she was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor, in 2001.
