Emma Watson, a Harry Potter star who recently featured on HBO Max’s Harry Potter Reunion 20 years after the franchise’s first film was released, has said she will “definitely” return for another reunion 20 years later.
In an interview with British Vogue, the actor spoke about his friendship with Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. “They both hate WhatsApp and their phones in general. Actually, as a trio, we’ve been trying to stay away from electronics, so it’s not going to help much here and there. We’re not in a group chat, but we’re talking. Individually.”
“Rupert sends me pictures [his daughter] Wednesday and I die. Dan and I generally try to calm each other’s nerves. We are both mainly trying to stay out of focus, so it’s nice to have mutual support knowing that another wave of attention is coming, ”Variety reported.
Speaking about the reunion, Emma said the most emotional moment for her was when Rupert opened up about her challenges to fame and reminded them that they were a family. “That was the most emotional moment for me. When Rupert said things, he really meant them. It shocked me how much he chose to be weak and kind. Dan, too, touched me on how much he reflected. For years as a girl, it’s been so different for me.”
Titled Harry Potter’s 20th Anniversary: Returning to Hogwarts, the cast of the reunion film series was seen reuniting on screen. Now, fans are eager to know when they will see the three famous celebrities sharing screen space together.
According to Variety, filmmaker Chris Columbus, who directed the Harry Potter Chambers of Secret and Sorcerer’s Stone, told the website that he wanted to cast the trio for a film adaptation of the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. “It’s a little fantasy of mine,” he said.
