The trailer of Nai Varan Bhatt’s Long Con Concha directed by Mahesh Manjrekar was released a few days back. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has written a letter to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting expressing dissatisfaction with the obvious scenes in the upcoming Marathi film.
According to Indiatvnews.com, NCW has received a complaint from an organization in Maharashtra against the trailer of the film. The complaint was lodged by the National Commission for Women on behalf of the Indian Women’s Empowerment.
NCW chief Rekha Sharma has written to the secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting asking for censorship of bold and sexually explicit scenes in the film. A copy of the same letter has been sent to Prasoon Joshi, chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
It was alleged that the trailer of the film contained obscene scenes and obscenities related to women. In the letter, Rekha Sharma called for immediate action as the trailer was circulating on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
Finally, the letter requested the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the CBFC to keep the NCW in a loop, regardless of any action taken on the issue.
The trailer, which was released on January 10, has now been removed.
Meanwhile, the censor board has given a certificate to Nayvaran Bhatt Loncha Koncha.
