Urmila Mattondkar tweets in support of Shah Rukh Khan amid 'spit' controversy

With the death of the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, India lost a gem on Sunday. The remains of the Bharat Ratna winner were sent to Agnijwala on Sunday evening with full official honors. Many celebrities and personalities were present at the function to pay their last respects. Actor Shah Rukh Khan Also, several pictures and videos of him praying went viral on social media for the wrong reasons. Netizens have criticized the actor for spitting on Lata Mangeshkar’s body. However, many fans came out in support of the actor, justifying him as a ‘religious act after saying a prayer’.

Actress Urmila Mattondkar also took to Twitter to criticize the Trolls. In a loose translation from Hindi to English, the actor said, “It’s not a spit, it’s a blowing prayer. This civilization and culture is called #Bharat. ” In a tweet posted on Monday, Matondkar urged people to avoid at least one sad day.

Also, Urmila Madondkar expressed her condolences on the demise of Lata Mageshkar and took to Twitter to express her grief. “Apart from being a #legend, #RIPLataMangeshkar is the exemplary life of the #daughter of #India who showed us what a daughter can achieve, for the whole #family,” she wrote.

When the 92-year-old Queen of Melody embarked on her final journey, many people thronged the roads that Cortage had passed. Some family members, including sister and senior singer Asha Bhosale, accompanied the body in the truck.

Aditya Thackeray, the current Minister for Protocol in Maharashtra, attended the function, which was later joined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, wife Anjali Tendulkar, Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, singer Anuradha Podwal, musician Shankar Mahadevan, Vidya Balan and husband Siddharth Roy Kapoor were also present at the funeral.
