South Indian superstar Mahesh BabuSon-in-law of DarshanThe actor is all set to appear in the much-anticipated film Govt. Darshan, the son of actor Sudhir Babu and Priyadarshini Ghattamaneni, will play the role of Mahesh Babu in the film. Darshan has already starred in Adivi Sesh’s sci-fi thriller Gudachari which was released in 2018.

In a statement to the media, actor Sudhir Babu confirmed the news and said in a statement, “My youngest son will be appearing as the younger version of Mahesh Babu in Sarkar Wari Pada. I am happy to play his mother (uncle) in the film.”

It is a comedy-action drama co-produced by Maitri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus and G Mahesh Babu Entertainment. Music director S Thaman, cinematographer R Madhi and editor Marthandam K Venkitesh have decided to handle the technical aspects of the film.

The action movie, which was supposed to be released on April 1, will now hit theaters on May 12, 2022. The producers had to postpone the release date of Sarkar Wari Pada after the RRR team blocked two slots for their theatrical release. In addition, GMB Entertainment announced the release date on their Twitter handle with a new epic poster.

“Auction date locked! #SarkaruVaariPaata worldwide release on May 12 # SVPOnMay12,” GMB Entertainment tweeted. Along with the tweet, Mahesh Babu is seen on the sofa wearing sunglasses and is seen in the new poster as the man of the hour.

The film was shot in Dubai, Goa and Hyderabad and the Sarkar Wari Pada team also shot some important sequences in Spain.

Apart from Mahesh Babu, Keerthi Suresh will also be seen in the lead role. The film also stars Samudra Kani, Vennala Kishore and Subbaraju in the lead roles. Parasuram Petola, who directed the hit film Geetha Govindam, wrote and directed Sarkar Wari Pada.

A few days back, the producers had announced that Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film Work Work will start production in April. The blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapuramulu starring Allu Arjun was directed by Trivikram and the temporary name of the film is SSMB28. Pooja Hegde also stars in the film which is supported by S Radhakrishna under the banner of Harika and Hasini Creations. Mahesh Babu and Trivikram are set to reunite after the 2005 Telugu action film Attadu, the 2010 fantasy action-comedy and Khaleja.
