Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt She is getting ready for the release of her most awaited film Gangubhai Katyavadi. Directed by Image Sanjay Leela Bhansali It hits the big screen on February 25th. Prior to the film’s release, the actor revealed that he had been in the role for 2 years and that it was the toughest role of his career so far.
The film is an adaptation of a chapter in the book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ by the famous author Hussain Sayeed. Razi plays the title role of Ganguly, one of the most famous, beloved and powerful women from Kamathipura, a red light area in Mumbai in the 1960s.
In an exclusive interview with TV9, Bhatt shared his experience in cinema. Speaking about the character of Gangubai, the actor revealed that he remained in his role for 2 years and kept it that way till the completion of the filming of the movie. They also talked about multiple delays in the film’s release dates due to the corona virus pandemic and the producers wanting to release it on a bigger screen than selling it to an OTT platform.
She said, “To be honest, sometimes words are not enough to describe some of the experiences, because the experience I am talking about is so great that I lived the role of Ganguly for two years, and even after that, our film had multiple delays due to the release of the corona virus pandemic. However, our film also had an OTT platform We were very clear about the fact that we do not want to release, because this movie is bigger than life.
Praising filmmaker Bhansali, Bhatt said he was famous for connecting with audiences and giving them a greater experience than life through his films.
When asked about the best experience during the filming of the movie, the actor said, “Every day was unforgettable, especially on the last day of the shoot, we shot a song on the last day, you’ll see it soon.
