Actor Sanya Malhotra Says her upcoming crime thriller Love Hostel Her role was “emotionally debilitating” so it was a challenging film to pull off. Love Hostel follows the unstable journey of a rebellious young couple presented by Malhotra Vikrant Masi, Hunters of a cruel mercenary (Bobby Deol). The film is scripted by Shankar Ram, the director of Gurgaon starring Pankaj Tripathi.

“It was a difficult movie for me to shoot because it was so emotionally burdensome. I used to joke to my friends that I had to take therapy at the same time – the movie is so powerful. It’s an emotionally heavy movie, but it’s a part of what I really enjoyed.

In the context of North India, the Love Hostel is about gruesome murders, the escape of a couple fighting for survival amid bloodshed.

This is the first time Malhotra has walked into a dirty place like Love Hostel and said the experience was rewarding.

She has previously acted in romantic comedy Meenakshi Sundareswar, crime comedy Ludo and romantic drama Photograph.

“This movie has pushed me to a place where I have never been before. It was a tough role and I needed to be in a special mood. The movie was something no one had ever seen on screen before. It was a really enjoyable experience,” the actor added.

The film, which is backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Visual Films, will premiere on February 25 on ZEE5.

In addition to Love Hostel, Malhotra will be seen in the 2020 Telugu hit remake of the hit thriller Hit-The First Case, and Malhotra will star in Vigna Kaushal’s Sambahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar.
