Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone The French luxury house has recently announced that Louis Vuitton is the first Indian brand ambassador for the French luxury brand. Padukone, along with Oscar winner and longtime house ambassador Emma Stone and Chinese actor Zhou Dongyu, unveiled the brand’s new leather goods campaign Daphne bag.

In their press release, the French luxury brand said, “Following a strong collaborative relationship with Maison … begins an exciting new chapter in her journey with award-winning actress Louis Vuitton.”

Deepika took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture announcing her collaboration with the label.

Padukone is often seen playing with Louis Vuitton clothes and bags, and she has previously modeled for them. In 2020, when she posed for a mock book cover with stars such as Lee Seidox and Sophie Turner, she became the first Indian actor to feature in the brand’s campaign.

The actress has recently starred in promotional campaigns for brands such as Levy and adidas, and her partnership with Louis Vuitton marks her first ambassador role for the brand. This month they appeared on the latest cover page of Vogue India. For the cover story, Padukone talks about his previous campaign for the brand and his relationship with the creative director.

She said, “When you’ve 18, and now you’ve started earning, you’re never even bothered to look at it as you walk along the edge of the Louis Vuitton store, because you know you can never afford it. I’m actually a very practical and practical person, but I need to pinch myself, because I can not believe it’s real, and it talks about the kind of diversity I hope to see in the future.

Padukone, meanwhile, is part of this year’s Cannes Film Festival’s eight-member competition jury, along with celebrities such as actor and filmmaker Rebecca Hall and Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi.

Deepika Padukone last starred in Gohrayan, directed by Shakun Batra, with Siddhant Chaturvedi, Dhairya Karva and Ananya Pandey on Workfront. Next up is getting ready to reunite with Shah Rukh Khan for Pathan. Padukone is paired with Hrithik Roshan in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter. She has a pan-India project with Prabhas directed by Nag Ashwin. Deepika Padukone will also be seen sharing screen space with her PK co-star Amitabh Bachchan in The Hindi remake of The Intern.
