Season two of the Amazon Original Series Panchayat It is set to premiere on Prime Video on May 20, and the producers have unveiled the trailer for the series ahead of the show’s release. Season One also stars Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta in the popular comedy-drama series directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra.
Launched in 2020, the panchayat follows the life of Abhishek (presented by Kumar), an engineering graduate who joins as panchayat secretary in Phulera, a remote village in Uttar Pradesh, as he does not have good job opportunities.
According to a Streamer summary, the returning season will take the audience through Abhishek’s “joyous and turbulent journey.”

Since the first season, the series delves deeper into the equation between Pradhan, Vikas, Prahlad, Manju Devi and Abhishek, and is now well settled into Fulera’s life.
Sharing the trailer on social media, the producers said, “NGL, Love-Key is excited to return to Fulera once again.
Following the success of Panchayat Season One and Hostel Days, the series strengthens the collaboration between Prime Video and The Viral Fever (TVF).
The only way to cope with the stress of a successful show is to retain the essence of the original, said Deepak Kumar Mishra, director of the show at the trailer launch of the original Amazon show.
“The only way to stand out is your work. What worked for Season One was the content, its simplicity, its natural performances and the storytelling.
“In season two, there’s pressure, there’s audience expectations. But we can not achieve anything if we break the pressure. So we did what we know best: hard work.” Mishra said that season two of the show “will rise to a certain extent” and will get a similar response to the first season.
At the show’s trailer launch, Kumar, who is best known for his role in Shubh Mangal Siyada Sawadhan and Panchayath Natak Kendram, said he would also be introducing new characters in the series.
“We’ve played in the same zone of Season One, but tried something new. There are also new character additions. This time, we’ll go deeper into how it works in the village and in the panchayat and everything that happens. Told reporters.
Writer Chandan Kumar said that “some pressure” is good but “there is nothing to be afraid of” when writing season two.
“When season one was made, it was clear to us how to move forward. We did not know what to do next. As we moved forward we started working. There will always be some pressure.
